Director for the Mace Business School Brian Moone has reported that for the first time since the industry began its current boom, there are signs that specialist contractors are beginning to return to more typical lead times.
In his quarterly 'lead times' feature for trade magazine Building which covers November 2007 to February 2008, Moone comments: "Eight of the packages in the survey have reduced their lead times this quarter. Only four of the packages reported an increase. Some of this is owed to the number of major projects being deferred or delayed."
