MLogic provided management staffing for the site enabling team, engage sub suppliers where necessary to deliver the management and integration of the logistics requirements at the Terminal 5 Concourse A (T5A) at Heathrow Airport.
Project challenges:
- Material distribution to a 450m * 150m building over twelve floors.
- Provide on site welfare and temporary services for 3,000 operatives.
- Provide transport system within the building footprint for labour and material delivery.
- Supply and manage 24no. hoists.
- Support the principal contractor in discharging his duties under CDM regulations.
What MLogic brought to the project?
By allying our building experience with logistics skills, MLogic were able to provide an integrated logistics service to T5A that facilitates the construction of this major landmark project. This has included developing models to forecast material deliveries to the project, which enabled us to identify and implement the best logistics solution for the project.
