Information

Mace was appointed as project manager for the first interim phase of a planned 25,000 square ft extension to this science park, which was developed on the edge of Oxford as a location for companies and research organisations working in emerging fields such as nanotechnology and gene research.

This project consisted of the construction of two new buildings. The Institute of Advanced Technology was a shell and core development with laboratories. The Centre for Innovation and Enterprise comprises a fully fitted out flexible multi-tenanted incubation unit, which can be easily sub-divided and adapted to the constantly changing needs of rapidly growing companies.

Mace was also project manager for the infrastructure works such as roads, new mains services, landscaping and planting.

Both buildings were constructed to a competitive budget yet deliver a high-quality atmosphere to enable Oxford University to attract external research projects and provide an inspiring environment for creative networking opportunities.
