Mace Group's International board has confirmed two key promotions in the management of its European Union business. Formerly country Director in Spain, José Carlos Saz Gimeno has been promoted to regional director of the group's operations within the EU, with effect from the end of 2008. His new remit will cover all non-UK European Mace offices in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Poland.
He has said of his new appointment: "The main intention is to enhance the pan-European co-ordination of our business development and resource, to strengthen our businesses in each
country and across the whole region."
In related news, Carlos Armero has been promoted to fill the Country Director role vacated by José Carlos Saz. Based at the Madrid office, Carlos will oversee the continued growth of the business in Spain where Mace is currently acknowledged as one of the leading project and Construction Management companies.
Mace Group board director responsible for non-UK operations, Michael Davies said: "These appointments reflect Mace Group's global growth aspirations and are aimed at improving
operations across the European market; I am sure both Jose Saz and Carlos Amero will make a tremendous difference in the business in their new roles."
