Mace Group lends expertise to £70m Hoe Valley Scheme

23/03/2009

Mace Group and its strategic partner Hampshire County Council, who together form Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE), are providing preconstruction planning for Woking Borough Council's £70m Hoe Valley Scheme. Sense, the cost consultancy arm of Mace Group is providing cost advice.

The scheme comprises a new residential development, two bridges and improvements to sporting and recreational facilities. It also addresses the high risk of flooding and residual contamination that affects the Hoe Valley area, prompting the council to seek sustainable solutions to the problem.

The planning work will form part of a project execution plan (PEP) with key recommendations on how best to deliver the project, presented to Woking Borough Council in early February 2009.
