Role: Director
Neil is a member of the executive team responsible for the day to day running of Mace's international business. He was appointed to Mace's international board in July 2008.
Neil's career has taken in roles across a broad spectrum of the construction industry, from an initial ‘sponsored student' position at John Laing plc, through a degree in Building (Engineering and Management). During his initial training he gained experience in engineering, cost control, planning, quantity surveying and estimating before moving into project management.
Neil gained valuable international experience working on hospital projects in Saudi Arabia before moving back to the UK and taking up key project management roles on a number of new build and refurbishment contracts in central London.
Neil has worked in human resources across most sectors: building, management contracting, consultancy, civil engineering, industrial, utilities, offshore oil and gas, investments and development. In parallel with his HR career, he also held directorships of several John Laing subsidiaries.
His career has also seen executive positions in consultancy roles with Jarvis and Bovis before joining Amec plc as HR Director for the Building Services and FM Division. Neil joined Mace on the 1st November 2007 and has been building up the company's growing international HR operation as the company expands its global presence.
