Role: Director
Ross joined Mace in 2002 and was appointed as a director in 2004. He is a director on the consultancy board, one of the two main operating boards for the Mace Group.
In January 2009, Ross took on Mace Group responsibility for development of the defence sector and from July 2009 he has assumed responsibility for the South West and Wales regions of the Mace UK business encompassing the Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter offices.
Ross has spent the last couple of years in the Middle East on an international secondment period. Initially this was to lead the Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) shopping malls programme valued at over £6bn. He also took the role of executive project director responsible for Asia Asia Hotel & Resort which is designed to be one of the world's largest hotels with 6,500 keys, 2,000 serviced apartments, retail mall and theme parks within a single building. The project has an overall GFA of 30 million square feet and a projected construction cost in excess of £5bn. Ross has also spent time establishing Mace's programme management role on the Musanada Programme in Abu Dhabi, a public sector programme of over 150 projects valued at approximately £1bn.
Prior to moving to the Middle East, Ross was one of two Mace directors responsible for leading the Mace public sector business and was directly responsible for the setting up, development and operation of the Hertford office. Between 2002 and 2007, Ross shared his time between Camden, Hertford and various commission offices and was responsible for over £1bn of construction value in the areas of programme management, project management, design management (and design relating to the Hertfordshire portfolio). Ross takes a particular interest in building relationships for Mace on a partnering / framework and programme management basis.
An architect by profession, Ross has a broad base of experience across the industry including design, design management, project management and programme management in the fields of portfolio rationalisation, office development (private and public sector), hotel and leisure development, housing, retail, education and rail transportation schemes.
